Baked goods made from yeast-free puff pastry

Eastern sweetness

The secret of this recipe is the combination of nut-honey filling and crispy dough. Everything is simple, but in the end the dish resembles an exotic oriental sweet.

Ingredients:

  • Yeast-free puff pastry – 1 package (500g);
  • Nuts – 400 g (you can take any to suit your taste);
  • Honey – 2-3 tbsp;
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp;
  • Butter – 50 g;
  • Egg (yolk) – 1 pc.;
  • Cinnamon – for sprinkling.
  1. Try to chop the nuts finely and fry them a little. If you use walnuts, it is better not to fry them - they will be bitter. Just chop it.
  2. While the nuts are hot, mix them with honey and sugar. Add cinnamon. Mix everything well and let it brew a little so that the nuts are saturated with the aroma of cinnamon and honey.
  3. To make it easier to work with, divide the dough into several parts.
    Roll out each part well. The thickness should not be more than 5 mm.
  4. Before adding the filling, brush each layer with melted butter.
  5. Place the filling and distribute evenly over the dough.
  6. Here's attention! The layers of dough can be placed one on top of the other to form a pie or cakes if the pie is cut into pieces before baking. But you can roll the rolls. Each housewife decides for herself, taking into account her mood and family preferences.
  7. Roll up the roll. Brush the top of the roll with whipped yolk.
  8. Bake the rolls at 250 degrees for 20 minutes.

The puff pastry, nuts and honey will make the roll look like baklava. But a different dough is used to make baklava.

Puff pastries with apples

These are open buns. That is, apples on top will decorate them.

Ingredients:

  • Dough – 300 g;
  • Apples – 2 pcs.;
  • Jam – apricot or jam – 60-70 g;
  • Egg – 1 yolk;
  • Water – 30 g.
  1. Prepare the dough. Defrost and roll it out. Cut into 4 parts, each of which is a rectangle 15 by 10 cm.
  2. Peel the apples and remove the seeds. Cut into thin (no more than 0.5 cm thick) slices.
  3. Dilute the jam with water and put on fire for 2 minutes. Then we pass it through a sieve.
  4. Cover a baking sheet with parchment and place the pieces on it.
  5. We retreat 1.5 cm from each edge, overlapping apples in the middle of each workpiece. Lubricate them with jam. And grease the dough with yolk.
  6. Place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Grease the finished buns with jam.

Unleavened dough (phyllo)

We are all familiar with chebureks. Did you know that this type of pies belongs to a great family - burek or burekas. And in this family there is one “negligent relative.” And he’s careless because he’s... sweet. Yes Yes! Bureks are exclusively with unsweetened filling. And only the Greek galaktoboureko somehow became a dessert.

Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry – 450 g (10 sheets);
  • Sl. butter – 250 g

For cream:

  • Semolina – 150-170g;
  • Milk – 0.5 l;
  • Sugar – 250 g;
  • Sl. butter – 50 g;
  • Eggs – 4 pcs.;
  • Vanilla.

For the syrup:

  • Water – 400-450 g;
  • Sugar – 800 g;
  • Lemon zest – from 1 pc.;
  • Honey – 2 tbsp. l.;
  • Vanillin.
  1. First the syrup is boiled. Pour the dish only with cooled syrup.
    Mix all ingredients (except honey) for syrup. Bring to a boil while stirring. When the sugar is completely dissolved, set aside and add honey.
  2. Now you need to prepare the cream:
    Separate the yolks from the whites.
    Beat egg whites (50g) with sugar until stiff.
  3. Beat 50 g with yolks until thick.
  4. Gradually adding meringue to the yolks, carefully mix everything.
  5. Boil the milk with the rest of the sugar.
  6. While stirring, gradually add semolina and vanilla.
  7. Reduce the heat under the pan and cook until the consistency of thick sour cream.
  8. When the semolina is cooked, remove from the stove and add oil.
  9. Mix semolina and egg mixture. Stir to prevent foam from forming.
  10. Grease a baking sheet with oil.
    Gradually lay out 5 sheets of dough, sprinkling them with melted butter.

Interesting! A subtlety like drizzling rather than brushing the sheets with oil makes the dough crispier.

  1. Pour cream onto the dough. And on top are the remaining 4-5 sheets. And again spray them generously.
    If there is any oil left, pour it on top, after making small cuts in the top layers of the dough.
  2. Bake for 60 minutes. at 160 degrees.
  3. Pour cold syrup over hot pie and let soak
    This is a type of galaktoboureko. Since a real Greek dessert uses a different dough, not filo.

    Chocolate puff pastries

    The beauty of this recipe is that it's completely hassle-free. You just need to wrap the chocolates so that they don’t leak when they melt in the oven. That's all!

    Ingredients:

  • Dough – package (500 g);
  • Chocolate – 2 packages of 100 g;
  • Yolk (you can use a whole egg) – 1 pc.;
  • Oil for greasing the baking sheet – 50 g.
  • Preparation:

    You can use different ways to “pack” chocolates.

  • Take one sheet of dough (defrost it in advance) and roll it out to a thickness of no more than 0.5 cm
  • Cut the layer into equal rectangles so that the width of each fits 2 pieces of chocolate, usually 8 rectangles are obtained.
  • Beat the egg and brush the surface of each rectangle with a pastry brush, leaving 1 cm from the edge (they should remain dry).
  • Place the chocolate bar in the middle. It is better to take milk chocolate, then the filling will be especially tender.
  • Main! Step back from the chocolate bar to the left and right, top and bottom by 0.5 cm.

  • Now wrap the chocolate in a roll. There is no need to pinch the edges, the chocolate won’t leak out anywhere.
  • Brush each roll with the remaining egg mixture and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  • There is another folding option - as in. I'll copy the photo from the adjacent recipe to show this principle. Only instead of cherries there are pieces of chocolate. To briefly describe the method, it goes like this: roll out the dough into a circle, divide it into equal triangles, put the filling on the wide edge and roll it up, starting from the wide edge.

    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease the baking sheet. We put rolls with chocolate on it. And put it in the oven for 25-30 minutes.

    They can be served both hot and cold.
    Chocolate can be absolutely any: milk and black, with or without filling. You can even use candy.

    Tongues with crumbs

    A simple and unusual recipe. Where the “crumb” is not only a decoration, but also an excellent addition to the taste. By the way, you can simply sprinkle the tongues with sugar ().

    Ingredients:

  • Dough – 300 g;
  • Yolk – 1 pc.;
  • Jam – 100 g;
  • Sah. powder;
  • For the baby:
  • Flour – 150 g;
  • Sugar – 100 g;
  • Sl. butter – 100 g;
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 pack;
  • Salt - a pinch;
  • Cinnamon.
  • Preparation

  • Make crumbs. Mix all ingredients. Grate them. Place in the refrigerator. This crumb is called streusel, there is a wonderful one on the website, you can look at the link.
  • Roll out the dough and squeeze out round pieces with a glass.
  • Roll out each piece with a rolling pin in one direction so that an oval comes out - a “tongue”.
  • Prepare a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper. Place the pieces on a baking sheet.
  • Brush the workpieces with yolk. And spread jam on top of the yolk.
  • Sprinkle crumbs on top.
  • 15 minutes. in an oven preheated to 200 degrees is enough.
  • Sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
  • That's the beauty of puff pastry. That it itself is delicious baked. And if you “decorate” it with original crumbs, it can turn out to be a delicacy.

    Snails with raisins

    Ingredients:

  • Dough – 500 g;
  • Sugar – 100 g;
  • Raisins – 200 g;
  • Egg (white) – 1 piece;
  • Melted butter - 20 g.
  • We prepare:
    Oven – preheat to 200 degrees;
    Dough - defrost;
    Baking tray – cover with parchment paper;
    Raisins – soak in hot water, then dry on a towel.

  • Lightly roll out the dough to 0.5 cm. Sometimes the finished puff pastry is already the thickness we need, you just need to unroll it without rolling it out.
  • Grease with melted butter, not reaching the edges 1.5-2 cm on each side.
  • Place raisins on one half.
  • Roll up the roll. Cut it into portioned buns, 3.5 cm wide. Place on a baking sheet.
  • Brush with whipped egg white and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Place in the oven for 15 minutes.
  • Snails with raisins can be prepared in another way: prepare custard (1/3 of a serving), grease a sheet of dough with cream and only then lay out the raisins and roll the roll, you get a delicate filling.

    If you like baking with raisins, take note of the recipe.

    Everything simple is brilliant! I suggest checking the truth with these recipes!

    Roll with cream and jam

    Ingredients:

  • Dough – 400 g;
  • Jam or (any sour) or cherry berries – 250 g;
    For cream:
  • Semolina – 150 g;
  • Sugar – 100 g;
  • Milk – 1.2 l;
  • Eggs – 6 pcs.;
  • Oil - 50 g;
  • Zest - from 1 lemon.
  • How to cook:

  • Preparing the cream.
    Bring milk and sugar to a boil. Add semolina a little at a time. Be sure to stir while doing this.
    The semolina is thickening, which means it’s time to add grated zest. Remove from heat and add oil.
    Once the cream has cooled slightly, add the eggs. Mix the cream thoroughly after each of them.
  • The shape of this cake is also important, so we place a layer of dough in an oblong muffin tin.
    One and two edges of the dough should protrude beyond the pan.
  • Spread the cream on this layer. And on top of it there is jam.
  • Cover the filling with the edges of the dough.
  • Place the roll in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 45 minutes.
    The rosy pie with snow filling can be served.

    Puff pastry is a godsend for those who love baking, but don’t like to tinker with it for a long time. It makes excellent pies, bagels, pizzas, hot dogs and even pasties. We'll tell you how to prepare all this later.

    Classic puff pastry is quite difficult to prepare. It’s easier to buy ready-made and take it out when you want to bake something. But, if you are a supporter of everything homemade, look on the Internet for simplified ways to prepare puff pastry. The recipes below assume you already have it.

    Ingredients:

    • 200–300 g puff pastry;
    • chicken eggs;
    • bacon slices;
    • Parmesan;
    • salt, pepper and herbs (parsley, dill, basil).

    Preparation

    Roll out the dough and cut it into squares 7–10 centimeters wide. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make borders about 1 centimeter high along the edges of the squares.

    Break one egg into each of the resulting squares and lay out a few slices of bacon. Salt, pepper and sprinkle with chopped herbs and grated Parmesan (can be replaced with other cheese).

    Preheat oven to 200°C. Bake the puff pastries for 10–15 minutes. The dough should turn golden brown. But you can remove the puff pastry early if you want the egg to remain runny.

    Ingredients:

    • 400 g puff pastry;
    • 200 g sausage;
    • 200 g cheddar;
    • 4 eggs;
    • 1 tablespoon ranch sauce;
    • 3 tablespoons salsa;
    • Parmesan.

    Preparation

    Roll out the dough to form a circle about 30 centimeters in diameter. Place a glass in the center of this circle and cut out another circle. Cut the resulting ring into triangular wedges. It should look something like a flower.

    You can also cut the dough into triangles and shape into a ring as shown.

    Spread ranch dressing on the ring. If you don’t have it, then simply mix sour cream and mayonnaise in equal proportions with various spices (dried parsley, dried dill, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and so on).

    Slice the sausage and lightly fry. Then crack the eggs into the pan and fry, stirring constantly. Finally, add three tablespoons of salsa.

    Arrange the filling around the ring so that it is convenient to bend the “petals” later, and after cooking, cut the puff pastry. Close the ring by bending all the “petals” and sprinkle it with grated Parmesan. Bake the puff pastry in the oven for 10–15 minutes at 200°C. Serve hot for breakfast.

    Ingredients:

    • 250 g puff pastry;
    • 2–3 apples;
    • 5 tablespoons cane sugar;
    • 3 tablespoons regular sugar;
    • 2 tablespoons butter;
    • 2 teaspoons cinnamon;

    For the glaze:

    • ½ cup powdered sugar;
    • 2–3 teaspoons milk;
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract.

    Preparation

    Apple pie made from puff pastry is popular in Denmark. We suggest you make a variation of it in the form of braids.

    To do this, apples need to be peeled, cored and cut into cubes. They then need to be caramelized over low heat: simmer them in a saucepan along with the cane sugar, vanilla extract and a teaspoon of cinnamon for 5 minutes.

    Roll out the dough, brush it with melted butter, sprinkle with regular sugar and the remaining cinnamon. Place the apples and cover with another layer of dough on top. Then cut it into strips, place on a baking sheet with parchment and carefully twist each of them in a spiral.

    Bake the braids for 10–15 minutes in the oven at 180°C. While they are baking, make the frosting. Combine powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract. You can adjust the thickness of the glaze by adding either powder or milk.

    Drizzle glaze over finished braids and serve.

    • 150 g cane sugar;
    • 6 sweet and sour apples;
    • a pinch of cinnamon.

    Grease the baking dish well with butter and sprinkle with sugar. Peel the apples, remove the core and cut into slices. Place them in a baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover the apples with a layer of rolled out puff pastry.

    Bake the pie for half an hour at 180°C. Once the tart has cooled slightly, invert the pan onto a plate or tray so that the apples are on top. Serve warm. Maybe with ice cream.

    If you have your own signature puff pastry recipes, then welcome in the comments. Let's share culinary secrets with each other!

    • 1 First of all, we need to prepare the puff pastry. A more detailed recipe for making “Quick Puff Pastry” can be found in the “Baking” section. All ingredients for the dough must be cold. Add salt, vinegar and yolk to very cold water and whisk. Add cooled butter, cut into small pieces, into the flour and grind into crumbs. Combine both ingredients and quickly knead the dough. Transfer the dough into a bag and cool in the refrigerator. Roll out, roll, roll out, roll, cool. That's it, the puff pastry is ready to go.
    • 2 While the puff pastry is resting in the refrigerator, prepare the filling. Finely chop the onion, lightly fry in sunflower oil, lightly salt and pepper the onion.
    • 3 You can take any mushrooms, I used forest mushrooms, already boiled until half cooked. Finely chop them and add to the onion.
    • 4 Cover the pan with a lid and simmer over low heat until done.
    • 5 I have boiled chicken meat, chop it finely as well.
    • 6 Place the meat in a frying pan and fry for 2 minutes over low heat.
    • 7 Then add tomato paste or ketchup, salt and pepper to taste, fry for about 2 minutes. Wash the greens, shake off the water and chop finely.
    • 8 Transfer the dill and parsley to the pan and stir.
    • 9 I don’t have salted cheese (here they call it kash). Mash it and add it to the pan, stir.
    • 10 Remove the pan from the heat and let the filling cool.
    • 11 Remove the chilled puff pastry from the refrigerator and cut into two pieces. Roll out one piece of dough into a thin layer and cut into squares. My squares are about 8X8.
    • 12 Place the filling on one half of the square, cover the top with the other half, press down lightly with your palm and press down along the edges with a fork.
    • 13 Line a baking sheet with baking paper and transfer the products onto the baking sheet. Beat the egg and brush the pies with a pastry brush, sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
    • 14 Bake puff pastries in a well-heated oven at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes. We do the same with the second piece of dough.
    • 15 You can make these simple cookies from scraps of dough.
    • 16 Serve puff pastry pies with any sauce. The pies are delicious both hot and cold. Help yourself!

    If we want to cook something delicious for dinner, then puff pastry pies are just what we need. Everyone loves hot, fragrant and tasty pastries. And that’s exactly how the pies turn out. And each time they can be prepared with different fillings. These include meat, vegetable, mushroom, and fruit - you can safely choose any one. With any of them, they turn out very, very tasty.

    And if there is also ready-made store-bought food in the refrigerator, then there is no need to waste time preparing it. After all, it’s no secret that this is exactly what takes the longest time. And it’s not even a matter of kneading the dough for a long time. The thing is that it always takes time for it to infuse. And here you bought it ready-made, defrosted it, prepared the filling, and bake whatever you want.

    Yeast puff pastry and yeast-free dough are sold in stores. What is their difference, and which one is better to buy for baking.

    The yeast-free version has more layers than the yeast version. And since there are more layers, that means there is more oil between the layers. That is, it is fattier and has twice as many calories. In terms of taste, both options are practically no different. But yeast-free dough is somewhat dry, while yeast dough is softer, making baked goods more fluffy.

    Therefore, the yeast-free version is used for preparing baked goods with sweet fillings - puff pastries, croissants. it is prepared from the same... And yeast is just good for non-sweet options, as well as for pizza.

    That's why today we use a yeast base. It needs to be defrosted properly. It is better to do this at room temperature. But we must remember that puff pastry contains butter, and if you defrost it too much, the butter will also melt, and the baked goods will not turn out flaky and tasty.

    I try to defrost it in the refrigerator. Knowing what I'll be baking today, I move it from the freezer to the refrigerator in advance. If I put it in in the morning, then by the evening it is already defrosted, and you can immediately roll it out and prepare baked goods.

    I'll tell you how to cook pies with different fillings. Someone in our house is a meat eater, and someone is a vegetarian. And everyone wants baked goods! Therefore, we will cook for different tastes.

    We will need (for 16 pcs):

    • potatoes - 800 gr
    • egg - 1 pc.
    • butter - 50 gr.
    • milk (optional)
    • onion - 2 pcs. (optional)
    • sesame - 2 tbsp. spoons
    • salt - to taste
    • vegetable oil - for lubricating the sheet

    Preparation:

    1. Pour water over the potatoes, bring to a boil, add salt and boil until tender.

    2. Now you need to decide what filling you would like to make. There are two options, the first is to use only mashed potatoes for this. The second is to make the filling from mashed potatoes with fried onions. Today I follow the simplest path and choose the first option.

    If you want to choose the second option, then cut the onion into small cubes and fry it until golden brown in a small amount of vegetable oil.

    3. Mash the potatoes, add butter, potato broth, or milk. When the desired consistency is reached, add the egg white. Leave the yolk, we will need it. For the potato filling, it is better to make mashed potatoes a little thicker than we do for the side dish.

    If you are making the filling with onions, add it to the puree. In this case, you can not add butter at all or add less. Taste the salt; if it is not enough, add salt to taste.

    4. Give the filling time to cool.

    5. Grease the table with vegetable oil and roll out one layer of dough on it. It should be rolled out in one direction, away from you, so as not to disturb the layers. You don’t need to press hard on the rolling pin, just roll it out evenly.

    6. Cut the workpiece into 4 parts. Place a large portion of the filling on each one. To make the finished products tasty, they must have a lot of filling.

    7. Roll into an envelope or triangle.

    8. Cover a baking tray with baking paper, grease it with oil or use a silicone mat, and place the preparations on it. Do the same with the other three layers.

    9. Grease with yolk. Thanks to it, the products will turn out rosy and appetizing. And sprinkle sesame seeds on top for beauty. After all, a dish is first determined by its appearance, so let’s make it attractive.

    10. Place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 30 minutes. The finished baked goods should have a beautiful golden brown crust.

    11. Take out a baking sheet, remove the pies and place them in a large flat dish. Let cool slightly and serve with hot tea.

    Pies with potatoes and mushrooms

    Similar to the previous recipe, but only we add mushrooms fried with onions to the filling.

    We will need (for 16 pcs):

    • puff pastry dough - 4 plates (750 g)
    • potatoes - 500-600 gr
    • mushrooms – 300 gr
    • egg - 1 pc.
    • onion - 2 pcs.
    • sesame - 2 tbsp. spoons
    • vegetable oil - 5 tbsp. spoons
    • salt, pepper - to taste

    Preparation:

    1. Boil the potatoes. Mash it into puree, add a little potato broth and egg white.

    2. While the potatoes are boiling, cut the onion into cubes and lightly fry it in vegetable oil.

    3. Finely chop mushrooms; any mushrooms will do - wild mushrooms, store-bought ones, such as champignons, pickled or salted ones. Add them to the onion and fry for 5-7 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    4. Add mushrooms to the puree and stir.

    5. Roll out the layer, divide it into 4 parts, and place on each filling. Fold into an envelope or triangle. Do the same with the rest of the dough.

    6. Place on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil and lined with baking paper, or on a silicone mat placed on it. Brush with yolk and sprinkle with black or white sesame seeds.

    7. Bake for 30 minutes, until golden brown. Remove, place on a plate, let cool slightly, and serve with hot tea.

    Puff pastries with minced meat

    If you prepare minced meat in advance and defrost the dough, then in an hour the whole family will be able to enjoy delicious, aromatic baked goods with meat.

    We will need (for 16 pcs):

    • minced meat -500-600 gr
    • onions - 2-3 pcs.
    • dough - 4 plates (750 g)
    • egg -1 pcs
    • sesame - 2 tbsp. spoons
    • spices, dried herbs
    • vegetable oil - for greasing

    Preparation:

    1. Cut the onion into small cubes and add to the minced meat. You can, of course, grind it in a meat grinder, but you shouldn’t. Ground onion is very liquid, and the minced meat will also be liquid. But when we cut it, the minced meat will be the consistency we need. In addition, during the cooking process, the onion will gradually exchange juice with the meat, and this will make the filling much tastier.

    2. Add spices and dried herbs to the minced meat. Good spices would be ground coriander, rosemary and cumin. They will give our products a simply divine aroma. You can add any dried herbs, but I add basil and parsley, as well as oregano.

    3. Salt and pepper to taste. And add egg white. We will need the yolk to grease the baking surface. During the cooking process, it will acquire a beautiful golden color.

    4. Mix the minced meat thoroughly until smooth.

    5. Roll out one layer on a greased table. Don't forget that we roll it out in one direction so as not to disturb the layers. Cut the layer into four parts.

    6.Place a significant portion of the filling on each piece of dough. Fold into an envelope or triangle. Place on a greased baking sheet or lined with a silicone mat.

    7. Do the same with the remaining parts. Grease the finished pieces with yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

    8. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes. The pies will brown and become beautiful and very appetizing.

    9. Take them out and place them on a large flat dish. let cool slightly and serve with hot tea.

    Pies with green onions and eggs

    With the onset of spring and summer, we all feel a lack of vitamins. And by that time, the first “green vitamins” appeared in our summer cottages - and onions took pride of place among them. We enjoy eating it as an accompaniment to various dishes, and with no less pleasure we make a variety of baked goods using it. Puff pastries are one of them.

    We will need (for 16 pcs):

    • dough - 4 plates (750 g)
    • egg - 6 pieces
    • yolk - 1 pc.
    • green onions - as much as you don’t mind (a good big bunch)
    • sour cream or mayonnaise - to taste
    • salt - to taste
    • sesame (optional)

    Preparation:

    1. Boil the eggs, cover them with cold water and remove the shells. Cut into small cubes.

    2. Cut green onions 0.6-0.8 cm thick.

    3. Mix onions with eggs, add sour cream or mayonnaise. Or both in equal proportions. The filling should not be liquid or thick. In the first case, the finished products will “float”, and in the second they will turn out dry and tasteless.

    4. Grease the table with vegetable oil and roll out the first layer. Cut it into four parts and put the filling on each part. We don’t feel sorry for it, we put in more of it. Fold the blanks into an envelope or triangle. Place on a greased baking sheet or lined with a silicone mat.

    5. Do the same with the remaining three parts. Brush the pies with yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

    6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. They will brown and become beautiful and of course tasty.

    Here we have products with the most popular and favorite fillings. As you may have noticed, working with dough is the same everywhere. Well, that is if you use it in a ready-made version.

    If you want to make the dough yourself, here is the recipe.

    Yeast puff pastry recipe

    We will need:

    • premium flour - 0.5 kg
    • butter 82.5% -350 gr
    • milk -1 glass
    • sugar - 3 tbsp. heaped spoons
    • salt -1 teaspoon
    • dry yeast - 11 g bag

    Preparation:

    1. Sift the flour 2-3 times to better saturate it with oxygen. Set aside 3 tbsp. spoons of flour into a separate bowl.

    2. Place the rest of the flour in a bowl, add salt.

    3. Dilute sugar in 1/2 part of milk and add to flour. Mix.

    4. Separately, dilute the yeast in warm milk. Let stand for a while until they separate and add the mixture to the flour and sugar.

    5. Add butter that has been softened in advance at room temperature. Knead the dough, it should be quite stiff and come away well from your hands.

    6. Wrap it in cling film and put it in the refrigerator, preferably overnight, but at least 4 hours. During this time it will double in volume.

    7. Take out the finished dough and roll it into a layer 0.5-0.6 mm thick.

    8. Spread butter on the rolled out layer, leaving 1/3 part. Do not spread to the very edges, leave about 1 cm from the edges uncoated.

    9. Wrap the ungreased part onto the lubricated part. And then cover it with the rest. You will get three layers. Using a rolling pin, roll it without pressing very hard along the entire length of the layer. To avoid breaking the layers, roll only in one direction.

    10. Then lightly sprinkle the remaining flour onto the top of the layer and fold again into three layers. Roll out lightly and put back in the refrigerator for 40 minutes.

    11. This procedure must be repeated four times. Only four times. Then we will get the required number of layers.

    The finished dough can be stored in the refrigerator for three days and in the freezer for 1 month.

    This is not the fastest cooking method. There is a faster way, described in my other post, on how to cook
