The presenter of the positive and sunny program on Channel One talks about raising children, the secrets of female attractiveness and the personal secrets of the early birds of the first button.

– How can a mother of two children manage everything: education, career, and even look great?

– My girls are now 7 and 8 years old. Modern children have such a rhythm of life that they rather have to distribute time between classes and parents. School, clubs, classes at home - they have so many interests that I literally stand in line for an appointment (smiles).

Seriously, I plan all my activities while my daughters are at school. Of course, with the exception of weekdays, when I leave for almost a day, but even here we always call each other before they go to bed and talk about how the day went.

Sometimes, when I have a very busy work schedule, of course, I have to hear their complaints about my work, but as soon as the weekend comes, we become lovebirds, walk together, play, do homework, or go somewhere.

– I know that you have a rather dramatic story connected with your eldest daughter.

- This is true. When I gave birth to her and was on maternity leave, the idea came to create a charitable foundation. It seemed terribly unfair to me that there are very few organizations that would help children with, so to speak, “unpopular” diagnoses - epilepsy and other neurological ones that are difficult to treat and require very long rehabilitation.

My friend and I founded a foundation that dealt with exactly these problems. I, as a meticulous person, immersed myself completely, studied medical science. Superstitious people called

– What are your secrets of female attractiveness and beauty?

– In principle, I have no beauty secrets. That is, everything I do is not a secret at all and is available to everyone. Firstly, sports. I get bored of everything quickly, so the types of sports change quite often, but one thing remains constant - physical activity should be regular.

If you can’t go to the gym, go for a run; if you can’t run, go, just move. I am a yoga adept, but my activity is not limited to this. I like to go for a run in good weather, play tennis, go horse riding, and if possible, swim. Secondly, sleep.

This is more difficult for me for obvious reasons. But I’ve already trained myself to go to bed at 11 pm, even if I’m not working, and I’ve seen for myself how right the scientists are who claim that sleeping before midnight is much more beneficial than sleeping after.

Thirdly, of course, no one has canceled skin care. I have identified two main points for myself: cleansing and moisturizing. In addition to home remedies, I do ultrasonic facial cleansing every 1–2 weeks. And to moisturize I use homemade masks and salon treatments. In the off-season, I definitely take vitamins.

Not least important is the inner attitude. I’ll say a banality, but not even the most magical cream will make you glow from the inside.

– You work in the morning program. Is it difficult to wake up at 5 am?

– Our broadcast starts at 5 am, and now we have to wake up at half past three. And even earlier. I won’t lie, it’s very hard, I’m still not used to it. I broadcast once a week, on other days I still try to live as normal. Therefore, waking up early every time is stressful for the body.

In the studio, sleep sometimes overcomes us, we fight as best we can. During long stories or news broadcasts, we squat, do push-ups, do some yoga asanas, sing, dance.

We could make a separate program about how we spend our time behind the scenes, sometimes it’s very funny (smiles). Of course, it’s difficult to hold out all day after the broadcast, so when I get home, I go to bed for a few more hours. The best thing we can do for our body is to fall asleep and wake up at the same time, preferably to go to bed no later than 23:00.

– Tell us about interesting meetings with fans.

“Fortunately or unfortunately, people don’t often recognize me on the street.” There was even a funny incident when I arrived at Gorky Park at the summer studio for work at 4 in the morning, I walked up, and several young people were standing there and asked me: “Girl, don’t you know when Ushakova is coming?”

On set they ask to take pictures and sign, but when outside of work I tie a ponytail and put on jeans, I become an ordinary person. Or maybe I don’t notice attention simply because I don’t subconsciously expect it. This is probably again the influence of working in news.

We somehow don’t perceive ourselves as public people. So much work has to be done before the actual release that the on-camera work seems like just the icing on the cake. Therefore, almost no one suffers from star fever - there is no time.

– What do you dream about? How do you see your life in 10 years?

“All I dream about and ask God for is the health of my children and loved ones. Everything else is in our hands. There are plans, yes. I want to develop both in my profession and in life. It's interesting to try your hand at documentary filmmaking. There are ideas, but it’s too early to talk about them. I like to test my strength and explore new territories, even if it’s scary, so I’m open to everything new.

In general, in 10 years I see myself as still a young and active mother, maybe not two, but three children, successful in my profession, and most importantly, in harmony with myself.

– Your recipes for proper rest: how to not get tired while resting?

– For me, the main thing on vacation is not to rush. The habit of always being in a hurry, the fear of being late - these are the diseases of the big city. Therefore, when I travel, I try to spend my time as I please. I just want to lie on the beach - I lie, I want to climb somewhere - I climb. And of course, the main thing is that your loved ones are nearby.

Olga Ushakova is raising two daughters of the same age: 12-year-old Daria and 11-year-old Ksenia. The older girl was diagnosed with neurological disorders resembling high-functioning autism. Olga admitted: “Raising special children in our country is like surviving on a desert island.” The TV presenter almost didn’t talk about the girls’ father and didn’t mention his name, however, that her daughters bear his last name.

Olga lived in a civil marriage for several years with a much older man, having met him in Ukraine. After her lover moved to Moscow, the TV presenter followed him. According to her reviews, the man communicates well with his daughters and helps her raise them.

Olga began dating her current husband, restaurateur Adam, in October 2013. The TV presenter carefully guards her personal life and does not say anything about her husband. It is known that Adam does not live in Russia most of the time. The couple got married on July 17, 2017 in Cyprus. Even before the wedding, Adam found a common language with Olga’s daughters. “They have fun together. The husband generally handles children skillfully, and all the children, familiar and unfamiliar, always circle around him,” noted the TV presenter.

I can’t even cope with my job with one child, but public people are ready to have two or three.

How are they resolved?

Liza Shirova, Altai Territory

I myself grew up in a large family, so for me the word “decide” is not quite suitable. My husband and I ( Olga recently married a second time - to a restaurateur Adam. - Ed.) definitely wanted a baby after the wedding. By the way, he is also one of three children. So this figure doesn’t scare any of us,” he answers. TV presenter Olga Ushakova. (Her third child is due to be born at the end of April. However, who will be a boy or a girl, Olga and her husband decided not to find out in advance. - Ed.)

“Even in a position I am active”

Elena Plotnikova, “About Health”: Olga, were the girls (the presenter has two children - Ksenia and Daria - Ed.) immediately told about this event? How did they perceive it?

Olga Ushakova: Not right away. The news was a little shocking to them. After all, there were two of them for 10 years, for them this is an understandable situation, like their age they were never particularly jealous of each other. And here it is not clear what to expect. But with heart-to-heart conversations I managed to calm them down. She explained that a mother’s heart does not divide, but multiplies with each new child.

- You worked until the 7th month. Was there enough strength for everything?

Yes, energy was seething inside me, and it seemed like I could move mountains. Until the virus hit me at the beginning of the year, first one, then immediately a second one - the children brought it from school. I was sick for three weeks and decided it was time to slow down. My immune system was seriously weakened and I didn’t want to take any more risks. Although, I admit, it was not easy to stop.

- Olga, is the question of how to get in shape after childbirth scary for you or not?

Why be afraid? I've already done this trick twice. Of course, I’m 10 years older now, but I approached this pregnancy in better, more athletic shape. Even the stomach did not show for a long time due to the strong abdominal muscles. The main thing is that the pregnancy proceeds safely, that the child is healthy, and getting in shape is a matter of time and desire.

How are you currently working on your abs and taking care of your abdominal skin?

I gave up abdominal exercises. I try to stay active, eat healthy, and literally bathe my belly in body butter to avoid stretch marks.

- Are you involved in sports now?

Of course, but in a lightweight mode. Running was replaced by walking. I do some yoga, arm exercises with dumbbells, squats and lunges I also do spontaneously throughout the day. In addition, I have a massage 2 times a week. I also dance in the evenings with the children. They love to have a disco before bed.

“Living in two cities? Love is not a problem!”

- Olga, did your husband Adam immediately find a common language with the girls?

I introduced Adam to my daughters a year after our romance began, and first as a friend. And she gave him a chance to win their trust and sympathy himself. My husband always understood that the support of my children is 50% of his success. In addition, he sincerely became attached to them. Over time, they naturally established a warm, trusting relationship. There was never any jealousy on the part of the girls. This feeling most likely appears when a mother positions herself incorrectly and merges with her children. My daughters are absolutely sure that I love them and will never leave them. But at the same time, they respect my personality and independent unit.

- You weren’t afraid that he wouldn’t be able to accept them?

No, I would not initially get involved in a relationship with a person who would not be ready to accept my children. And in general, this way of putting the question disgusts me. What does "accept" mean? If you love a person, then it goes without saying. Children are part of this person. It's like loving someone but not accepting their right hand. My children and I are a family, our small but strong family. So my husband came into our lives and joined her. It fit in very organically.

- Was legal marriage important to you, or is it enough that your loved one is nearby?

I believe that marriage is a natural development of relationships. No matter how self-sufficient and modern people are, at some point a loving couple must come to this. Another question is when this will happen. There are no rules anymore. We came to this after a few years, while others decide after a few months. I can't say that this was the goal for me. But step by step the relationship moved to the next level, the wedding became one of them.

- Your husband does not live in Russia. How do you manage to build a family life at a distance?

We live in two cities (the presenter keeps the country in which her husband lives a secret. - Ed.). Depending on the circumstances, the priority location may change. This is not to say that this is some kind of huge problem in modern times, when people are as mobile as possible. A few hours of flight - and you are already there. Sometimes it takes me longer to get home from Ostankino outside the city. There are certain difficulties, but they are no more than in ordinary family life. They're just different. In any case, we had a choice - not to build a relationship at all or to build it this way. We are not looking for easy ways, so we decided to try. In the end, we will most likely settle in one place. But for now, because of work, we are forced to travel back and forth.

“Yoga and running are the basis for me”

- Do you have secrets on how to maintain youth for a long time?

I think that if beauty procedures are used wisely, the consequences for appearance will be very favorable. As in any matter, you need to know when to stop. I have a positive attitude towards biorevitalization and mesotherapy. I tried this and that. But due to my busy schedule, such procedures, as well as everything after which I need to sit at home for some time, are not yet available to me. I'm always visible. But I don’t neglect low-traumatic procedures: I do ultrasonic cleansing, facial massage, regularly apply masks at home, and choose good cosmetics. My main enemy is lack of sleep. This, of course, doesn’t make you any younger. But I try to compensate for this moment with walks in the fresh air and a positive attitude. A woman is best rejuvenated by a good mood and a smile.

- I know that you have breakfast in the car. What do you usually take with you?

Oatmeal, omelet, cheesecakes - everything that I would eat at home. I practically live in my car, so I’ve gotten the hang of eating there, changing clothes, and putting on makeup.

- By the way, on Instagram you admitted that your strong point is varied breakfasts. What are you cooking for the girls? And what is their favorite dish in the morning?

They eat the same thing as me. Basically these are healthy, proper breakfasts. But sometimes on weekends or holidays I spoil them with something that is not so much healthy as tasty. For example, they love French toast with chocolate.

- What sports did you do before pregnancy?

I like to change the load and activity so that I don’t get bored. I often change classes at the gym - from body ballet to step aerobics. It also depends on the season. For example, in the summer I add cycling to the sports mode. And yoga and running are the basis, what I do always and everywhere.

- You think that sports can be done at home. Could you give advice on where to start for those who want to get in shape, but just can’t get to the gym?

I advise you to go to the gym and get competent advice from a professional trainer. Of course, basic gymnastics can be done independently, but if a person plans to work with dumbbells or weights, do lunges, and so on, then it is still necessary to master the correct technique, feel the movement, learn it, and then repeat it at home. Otherwise, at best, classes may be wasted, and at worst, you may get injured. But I can safely recommend walking. Probably the most accessible and safest sport. You can go somewhere purposefully or go out for the sake of training. The main thing is to make it a habit that whenever possible you should walk with your feet, and not use the achievements of technology.

“Coconut oil is a must have for me!”

-You have very beautiful hair. How do you care for them?

Hair care takes almost the last place in my case. Nature and my parents rewarded me with good hair. I don’t treat my hair very well; for example, I style it with hot tools almost every day. Of course, I use hair masks once a week. When I'm in the sun, I spray them with sunscreen spray. In winter, I try to hide my hair completely under a hat if I’m outside.

- By the way, your daughters have incredibly beautiful hair too. Is it nature and age doing their job?

I think it's heredity. Although their hair color is different. The eldest is blonde. I really love fiddling with their hair, combing it, blow drying it after washing. It’s as if some special contact occurs through the hair.

- What cosmetic products can you not do without, either at home or on vacation?

I definitely can’t do without moisturizer at home. In our climate, my skin constantly suffers from dryness. That's why I always carry a convenient two-tier jar with me: in the lower part - lip balm, in the upper part - for the area under the eyes. But on vacation, I could probably get by with one jar of coconut oil for all occasions. This is what I would take with me to a desert island: for the body, for the face, and for the hair. And if necessary, you can also fry pancakes on it.
