The closest person for the rapper was his grandmother, the already deceased Tamara Konstantinovna, who raised Alexei until the age of 12. After that, the rapper will dedicate a number of compositions to her, including “Gossip” and “Original Ba”.
Alexey's interest in rap was awakened when he was in the fourth grade. The boy avidly listened to the cassettes of the American rapper MC Hammer, which were not easy to get even in the era of Perestroika.

When the grandson's love for light drugs and his absence from school became obvious to the grandmother, she insisted that the parents take the guy to China.From the age of 12, Alexei lived with his parents in China, where he first went to a local school, and later entered the Shenyang Institute of Foreign Languages. He left Russia with zero knowledge of Chinese, and already in a new place he learned the language with the help of Russian-speaking tutors from among the students. With their help, he found out how to get banned substances in China, and the hopes of his relatives that Aleksey would “clean up” in a foreign country collapsed.
In 1995, Guf was visited by his grandmother in China and brought him CDs and cassettes with hip-hop, which were not in the communist state. At this time, Alexey wrote his first poems and songs, but the plans were to open a business in China.
However, everything began to crumble when, during a vacation in Moscow, he tried heroin. Guf quickly began to develop dependence, he began to inject the drug into a vein. Several times his life hung in the balance. So, Alexei recalled how once he almost died, having been in a heroin coma for two hours, while his grandmother was sitting in the next room and watching TV, not even suspecting what was happening to her grandson.
Returning to China, Alexey continued to kill the body with heroin. Moreover, he contacted drug dealers, with the help of which he began to sell grass in his hostel. Soon all the students knew which room to knock on in search of a buzz. At the same time, it could not hide from the hostel administration. Aleksey was suspected of drug trafficking, for which China could face severe punishment up to and including death by firing squad. The young man was literally forced to flee the country in 1998.
Thus, his experience of life in China has 7 difficult and definitely eventful years. When asked if he regrets that this happened, Guf replies that he himself, despite his business ambitions, is tired of living in a country with a foreign culture. However, references to this experience sometimes come through in the work of Dolmatov.
Return to Russia
Returning home, to the apartment of his beloved grandmother in Zamoskvorechye, Alexei entered the Faculty of Economics. But the passion for music turned out to be stronger, and with a friend at the university, Roman Guf, he formed the Rolexx group. Roman did the arrangements, Alexey did the rest. 
The rapper's first track was released at the age of 19 and was called "Chinese Wall", it touched upon the problem of drug addiction. Drugs remained Alexei's constant companion, and in 2000 they brought new serious problems - the police stopped Guf near the Kyiv railway station. Having found a large amount of marijuana from him, the rapper was sent to Butyrka.

In 2003, Guf, together with his friend Nikolai Nikulin, known as rapper Princip, organized the CENTR group and released the first demo album, Gift, with a circulation of only 13 copies. 
"Center" was born as a duet of Guf and Princip, but very soon Nikolai, who had never been distinguished by law-abiding, thundered into prison (having been released, he would record joint tracks with "Center" more than once).
Later, an old acquaintance of Alexei Vadim Motylev joined the project, releasing songs under the pseudonym Slim. The rappers released the tracks “Wedding” and “Leader”, which aroused great interest among the public, yearning for high-quality rap and hip-hop.

Bird and Slim commented on Guf's departure only in 2012. Ptaha mentioned that the listeners perceived Guf as the leader of the group, although its other members did not agree with this. Slim adhered to the same version, saying that Guf was not satisfied with relations within the team, and at the same time he understood that outside the Center he would be no less in demand. At the same time, both emphasized that the reason for Guf's departure lies precisely in the events that occurred on June 6.
In 2014, former friends attempted a reunion. At first glance, it turned out well. After several clips and a big tour with new songs, the guys released the album "System". But a black cat ran between them again. Guf does not like that he was given only 15 months to write verses, and as a result, his lines turned out to be not as good as they could be. Relations between Guf and Ptah begin to heat up, in interviews they constantly make fun of each other.

After a short fight on social networks, Ptakha called Guf to the Versus battle. Guf agreed with one condition - if the organizer of Versus, the Restaurateur, pays him 2 million rubles.
