On the Internet, I found ads about tailoring to order just such a nest for a newborn. This is such a personal cozy place that can be placed in a crib, on a sofa, on a bed so that the baby feels comfortable and protected. The price of such a product varies from 1700 to 3500 rubles. In general, I liked the idea, I wanted to try out such a fashionable invention in the West. What could be easier than making your own? I found a master class on the net and decided to repeat it. I will try to describe the procedure, although I did not photograph all the stages, as I got carried away very much =). I sewed this miracle with my hands for two days with breaks. Probably an hour of work on the machine. So, necessary materials: Fabric of two colors, the dimensions of each cut are 60 by 90, synthetic winterizer, lace 3 m.

What are nests?

After a short delivery time, your little darling will soon feel very comfortable in her new favorite place. Over time, the medical team realized that if full-term children were to be placed in a nest like this, they would also benefit from the benefits of the victims.

The semi-fetal position helps him sleep longer and better. It also helps to avoid the startle reflex. This limits the risk of your child getting flat head reflux and by allowing your child to touch his face and mouth, it helps him learn to control his movements. The semi-fetal position also helps your child develop relationships while lying on his back, he will look at the ceiling or always turn his head to the same side.

We cut the fabric according to this pattern. The width and length of the ears is 15 cm. Round off the corners. Sew on the wrong side, leaving the bottom and half of the ears open. Through these places we will thread the synthetic winterizer.

We turn the blank on the face. You need space for the lace. I walked a basting on the front side at a distance of a centimeter from the seam, I got a pocket for a lace. The cover is ready. Let's start stuffing. To do this, we cut out the bottom from the synthetic winterizer, sheathe it again with a basting, in my case it’s the only way. I insert a synthetic winterizer and close the bottom. This stage did not have time to shoot, I hope I explained clearly what to do. I made the bottom in one layer so that the bed was hard. In order to prevent the synthetic winterizer from shifting during washing, I walked along the bottom with a carriage coupler.

This newborn version is designed for babies weighing 8 kg or more. Adjustable wedge that can move down the nest as the baby grows, during the first 4 months. Belly band that supports the baby in an ideal position without hindering his freedom of movement.

Lie down in the nest, the child, having left the boundaries of the mother's womb, feels "restrained" and comforted. This has many benefits, including. My health visitor says babies should lie on a hard surface. She is absolutely right - the child should not be placed on a soft surface, as his body will "drown" in it. However, on a flat, hard surface, the baby cannot lie in a lullaby position that reminds him of his mother's womb and soothes him. This ergonomic design has many advantages: it keeps the baby on their back but sways them, allows them to move their arms freely and move freely and interact with others.

We cut out a synthetic winterizer 30 cm by 2 m, fold it and insert it into the side. I close my ears. My side turned out to be not hard, if desired, you can fill it tighter.

Now we shape the nest by tightening the string.

After using the nest for a few days, my baby seems to lie more deeply in it. It's perfect. This means that a special fabric covering the foam molded the shape of the foam. Your baby is really in his nest! It has been validated by the medical profession, and in fact, the gentle pressure it puts on your baby's stomach is also soothing. When we say that the baby can move in the nest, we mean that he can turn his head and move his arms, allowing him to open his arms.

However, in the first months of his life, he cannot throw himself on his side or roll over in the nest. The position adopted by your baby in the nest has been studied in detail by medical professionals and is the best for your baby's comfort and development. It soothes and soothes him, gives him freedom of movement which encourages his eyeball development and allows him to interact with those around him when he is awake. This can't be dangerous if you follow the instructions for use carefully and stop using the nest as soon as your baby starts trying to reposition the nest.

Any mom is happy when her baby is happy, full and sleeping. And in order for him to sleep well, it is necessary

provide comfortable conditions for sleep. And the cocoon nest helps a lot with this. The thing is very necessary. This is a nest

The baby is physically unable to leave the nest alone until 3-4 months of age. In the womb, the baby can touch his face and even suck thumb. If he is on his back on a flat, hard surface, then the newborn's arms will lie on either side of the head in the 3-branch candlestick position. He can't touch his face as he doesn't have the strength to move his arms up - and in this position, children are said to suffer from "separation anxiety" as they lie in a space too big for them and they lose their bearings.

It is made from two various kinds foam, one is used for reactivity, the other for comfort. Products made from viscoelastic foam hold the child in the position they are on them and should therefore be avoided until the child has acquired their own motor skills. Can the nest be placed in the cradle?

It's also double-sided, which is nice.

Having reviewed many master classes on sewing a nest, and having tried different variants by removing some

superfluous, in my opinion, manipulations, such a way of sewing a nest-cocoon was “born”, which, I hope, will be liked and

For sewing a cocoon we need:

Cotton 2 types, size 70*90 cm;

No, because the carrycot is not deep enough. The sides of the bunk or cradle should be at least 20 cm above the top of the nest. Yes, he can, however, choose a small size suitable for a baby up to 4 months old. Larger size will be too bulky.

It is normal that your baby will feel warmer when lying down than when he is lying on his back. Imagine if you yourself were sitting curled up in a chair instead of sitting in a straight-backed chair with nothing around you. Just put less clothes or covers on it and by touching the back of your head you can tell if it's too warm or not.

Sintepon 300 - 35*65 cm;

Filler (I use aero down).

1. Fold the fabric face to face. Pin the pattern with pins (I have a pattern of 2 parts: the middle is 35 * 60cm and the sides).

Cut with seam allowances of 1 cm. My pattern consists of 2 parts: the middle and the sides. This is for convenience

in order to later use the middle of the pattern for a padding polyester mattress.

The products, which are filled with small polystyrene granules, support the child in the place where he is. This will help him sleep better. Kokubababa's nest seems quite small to me. If you have big child when it reaches 4 months it may be longer than the nest - but this is not a problem. Simply remove the wedge and let your child's feet rest on the bottom edge of the nest with their feet over the edge. The important thing is that at all times the child should not rest on anything with their feet and put themselves in a hyper-expanded pose.

If you place your baby in the center of the pillow, it will effectively make him feel cradled or "contained" in a small space, but he will automatically stay in that position, which is not necessarily correct. Leaving him lying in the wrong position for several hours during the day or at night is not recommended. Products made from beads can sag, so parental supervision is necessary at all times. There is no substitute for the Kokubababa nest, which has evolved through years of medical supervision.

2. Please note that at the bottom of the "sleeve" there is an indent of 2 cm. It is necessary to stitch around the perimeter from the indent, as well

the lower part of the cocoon, between the "sleeves". Due to the fact that the lower part, where the mattress is, we will also stitch - then there will be no

ugly edges that will have to be decorated with something.

You could put the nest on a play mat with a toy bar on it, or put it in your crib with a mobile to take a look - but make sure the toys are feet level and not directly over his head. Contrary to common practice, it is very important that the child lying on his back should look at his legs in order to encourage him to assume the correct position. If his gaze is drawn above his head, it encourages a hyper extended posture that is detrimental to his comfort and development. When he lies in the nest, the child will also be able to observe other family members - and he will be happy to participate in what is happening around him.

3. We make a line at a distance of 5-7 mm from the edge, so that there is not a very thick hem. My machine has a function

"positioning the needle", when I can move it in any direction (left or right) to the distance I need, so the needle

does not go exactly in the center of the foot in the photo.

We all know that the motor skills of a child less than 4 months old did not allow him to get out of the nest. This question, however, is one that recurs among first parents. In fact, like swaddling, it puts the same gentle pressure on the baby's tummy as your hand does to soothe colic, and it encourages the baby to adopt a "centered" rather than "extended" position. For reasons of hygiene, etc. we recommend changing the fitted sheet. We can purchase additional fitted sheets.

We recommend cleaning the foam before reusing it. It is not recommended to expose it outside to the sun to air it out and let the sun "sterilize" it, because the sun can discolour the foam. You will receive a tracking number for your package and international shipping may take 5-10 days depending on where you are. Usually registered mail costs 60 euros and a little more if you buy extra sheets etc. contact us if you have further questions.

Places where we do not make a line! We leave these places unsewn!

4. Turn the cocoon through one of the holes, this is quite easy to do.

It should turn out like this. The protruding "tail" is hemmed by hand.

6. We take the middle from the pattern, put it on the synthetic winterizer and cut out the detail of the mattress with an allowance of 1.5 cm, except for the

bottom - it is strictly according to the pattern.

Really comfortable for the baby to sleep. Just make sure you have a large crib. This review has not been rated. We are looking forward to using it with our new baby. Excellent customer service with a personal touch.

This will require

Babies do well in their mother's stomach during pregnancy. It's nice and warm there, and they're completely protected. But it is not always the case. Once they have seen the light in the world, dangers lurk everywhere. Parents must first get used to the new family life and not know about some accidents. To make at least one seat as comfortable as possible, the crib is often decorated. Products such as nesting, sky or your favorite soft toy, attach to the crib and are designed to be as comfortable as they are in the womb.

7. Through the holes of the "sleeves" we insert the synthetic winterizer detail and align it in the center. We pierce with pins. Lower

part of the synthetic winterizer should be tightly connected to the bottom of the cotton part so that there is no void.

Most importantly, the straps are not too long. Short it or buy a bed surround for a baby bed with Velcro. Also pay attention to the height of the nest and material. Our mobile phones are also a good and safe alternative to decorate a baby bed.

Baby nest: a cute accessory for a baby bed

Nests make the hard wood sticks on the bunk disappear. They offer your little one comfort and protection from passage. Bed around your loved ones can also sharpen their eyesight. Choose hits with cute printed ornaments like little stars or colorful animals.

8. We lay a line, having previously marked the fabric according to a paper pattern (I have a self-disappearing marker that disappears very quickly, and the markings on the fabric are not visible. During the time until it disappears, you need to quickly, quickly lay

line. A stitch length of 5 mm is sufficient.

You can also lay horizontal lines, shaping the mattress (but even without these lines, it will not go anywhere,

and securely fixed, because we left allowances of 1.5-2 cm on the padding pattern. For sewing thick synthetic winterizers

products, I use the upper conveyor - it is sold separately, the thing is very convenient!

9. Insert the ribbon into the top of the cocoon.

10. We fill the sides with filler tightly, I use aero down - it is springy, does not create the effect of "cellulite" and does not
